The JCC Krakow – Frajda, Gan Balagan Sofia, Bulgaria and JCC Bucharest,Romania Early Childhood Centers have been partnered with two major Jewish Early Childhood Centers in Montgomery County, Maryland- Beth Sholom Early Childhood Center and Bender JCC Preschool. The EC Morim Project will proactively support Jewish Community Renewal through the “Bubble Up” effect which will bring Jewish learning, rituals and traditions to parents through the education of their children and with their participation in family programs.

Four American Jewish Day Schools Participate In The
2016-2021 SOS International Morim Project
Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School, Pikesville, MD has selected the Scheiber Sandor School in Budapest, Hungary as its primary SOS International Morim Project Day School partner.

The de Toledo High School, West Hills, CA has selected the Lauder Javne Jewish Community Day School in Budapest, Hungary as its primary SOS International Morim Project Day School partner.
Five High School Master Educators participated: Diane Feldman-Musical Theater; Benny Ferdman- Art; J.B. Sacks-Jewish Studies; Mark Shpall-American Government and History; Tony Soltis-English;
The de Toledo Master Educator team traveled to Budapest in March 2017 to implement signature lessons/projects at the Lauder Javne High School. In addition, the team participated in a wide variety of community service activities specifically selected to benefit the Budapest Jewish Community. They met with the American Charge D’Affaire to Hungary; Hungarian government officials and Hungarian Jewish leadership in order to discuss the safety, security and civil rights of Hungarian Jewry.
The JDS team traveled to Budapest in November 2016 to implement signature lessons/projects reflective of their areas of expertise at the Lauder Javne High School. They taught at other Hungarian Jewish Day Schools; the Central European University in Budapest, JCC Budapest; and the Budapest Rabbinical Seminary. In addition, the team participated in a wide variety of community service activities specifically selected to benefit the Budapest Jewish Community. They met with the American Ambassador to Hungary; the Israeli Ambassador to Hungary; Hungarian government officials and Hungarian Jewish leadership which included the Chief Rabbi of Hungary, Rabbi Robert Frolich in order to discuss the safety, security and civil rights of Hungarian Jewry.
The Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School is a Morim Project partner with the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Budapest.
The Kushner High School has selected Yaffa Malashock to be a SOS International team member. Yaffa’s area of expertise is Hebrew. Read her blog here
